Angela Rivera, FHIMSS, is Executive Vice President, Operations at CynergisTek, a top-ranked cybersecurity and information management consulting firm. In her role, Ms. Rivera has responsibility for delivery performance, ensuring consistent client satisfacation, growth of current services and development of new solutions to support our customer’s changing needs, and internal team training and employee satisfaction focusing on a consistent and rewarding work experience for CynergisTek team members. Ms. Rivera is a passionate executive with over 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry with significant focus serving the healthcare provider industry. She brings deep knowledge of acute care, ambulatory and physician practice management operations and has demonstrated solid performance stimulating revenue growth and operational excellence. Prior to CynergisTek, Ms. Rivera served over 17 years in various roles at Computer Task Group (CTG), an international IT solutions and services company. In her las role as Vice President, Health Solutions for CTG, she held executive responsibility for solutions and growth strategy, quality service delivery, and management of the professional consulting base that delivered information technology services and solutions to CTG’s healthcare provider, payer, and life sciences clients in North America.

Residing in San Diego, California, Ms. Rivera serves on the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) Management Series Editorial Board and on the Board of the San Diego chapter of ACHE as the current Membership Co-Chair ans as the 2017 Annual Conference Chair. A long-standing member of Healthcare Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS), Ms. Rivera holds Fellow status and served on the Board of Southern California HIMSS for many years, including as President in 2011. Currently serving as Program Chair for Women in Healthcare Information Technology (WHIT), an affiliate of Northern California HIMSS, Ms. Rivera’s primary objective is to seed, incubate, and advance women’s career aspirations in Healthcare IT.  In addition, Ms. Rivera is a member of the National Association of Latino Healthcare Executives (NFLHE).
